Golden Goddess

Well you want a tan for your big day? Try these safe and easy-to-apply options:
You can go for the gold at home or in a salon, but whichever method you choose, the first step is to exfoliate.  Exfoliation removes dead skin cells that inhibit absorption so to insure a more even finish and a longer tan I would suggest you do this first.

For all my DIY-er Bride's:
After shaving, exfoliating and moisturizing, make sure your skin is completely dry(Water is a barrier and can lead to uneven results). For all the tanning newbies use a product with a blend of self-tanner and moisturizer, as it will allow you to build a tan gradually for a mor authentic-looking result.  Apply one layer in the morning and another in the evening this way any streaks that result from the first application will be neutralized by the second.

For All my Salon Going Bride's:
Getting a professional spray tan assures a streak-free result, but it does take a little longer to dry than the at-home verieties.  Don't moisturize right before you go for your treatment.  Since this forms a barrier on your skin that's hard for the spray to penetrate.  It is normal for the excess to come off on fabric but it will wash out, so be sure to wear dark, loose-fitting clothes to the appointment.

With either of these treatments we recommend that you try it first a few months prior to your wedding date, then do it at least 3-4 days prior to the wedding.

Few products to try:
Clarins Liquid Bronze
Lancome Flash Bronzer
Clinique Touch of Bronze Lotion
Bliss A Tan for All Seasons

Budget Tips

TIPS ON CREATING A BUDGET 1.Budget the must-have items first- Include the cost of attire, flowers, food, location, reception, event planner, reception cost, and any other essential items 2.Use software or a spreadsheet to help you plan your budget 3.For you to stay on budget you must write the cost of EVERYTHING down, both in the estimation process and in the actual spending process 4.If you put items on your credit card, log them onto the budget worksheet. Tip for keeping on top of your credit card balance is that each time you charge something, enter it in your checkbook register as if it were a check 5.Create a payment schedule showing the amount contracted for each service, the date the deposit is due, the date you pay the deposit, when subsequent payments are due, and note when you make them 6.ALWAYS reference your budget to see how much you’ve allotted for that particular item and stay within $5.00-$10.00 of it 7.This is if your doing your own planning: When talking w/vendors and arranging cost be sure to bring up budgeted amount first, let them know you are on a budget and stick with it
